Description

A range of three cottages dates from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, with later 20th-century alterations. They are built of coursed and squared ironstone with a thatched roof. A rendered plinth is visible, and the gables have coped ends with kneelers. The cottages have two storeys and six bays. Number 2A, on the left, features a flat-roofed 20th-century single-storey addition, with two casement windows. To its left is a 20th-century door and a 19th-century casement window with a wooden lintel. The other cottages have half-glazed 20th-century doors and 2- and 3-light 20th-century casement windows, all with wooden lintels. On the upper floor, to the left, is a 18th-century leaded casement, with the remaining five windows being 20th-century casements. The rear elevation has 2- and 3-light 20th-century casement windows, two of which have wooden lintels. Above, there are five 2- and 3-light 20th-century casements. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
