Description

This is a late 18th-century house, which was raised and reroofed in the mid-19th century. It now serves as a hairdressing salon and was formerly a Post Office. The building is constructed of squared and coursed ironstone with a Welsh slate roof and a 20th-century interlocking tile roof section. It has a plinth, brick gable stacks, and a rendered ridge stack. The house is arranged over two storeys and has three bays plus a single bay service wing. The main facade features a central five-panelled door with an overlight, flanked to the left by a 19th-century shop window and a 20th-century half-glazed door with an overlight. To the right of the door is an 8/8 sash window. Above, there are three similar sashes. The service wing to the right has an 8/8 sash on each floor. All window and door openings, except for the shop window, are topped with keystoned flat arches.
