Description
The lodge, built around 1882, is located to the southeast of Charmandean School. It is constructed of crimson brick with decorative tile hanging on the upper storey and features a tiled roof. The design matches that of the school and the stable block. The lodge is one-and-a-half storeys tall and has a west front with two bays. The left bay has a hipped roof that extends over a verandah supported by four timber arches with pendent ball finials, and a balustrade below. The right bay features a canted bay window with wooden mullions, a transom, and leaded panes. The attic floor has a gabled front and is jettied, with a similar four-light oriel window on brackets. This lodge is included for its association with the house.
