Description

The stable block at Charmandean School consists of ranges forming three sides of a courtyard, partially converted into school rooms and living accommodation around 1882. The building is constructed of crimson brick with tile hanging to the eaves and gables, and has a tiled roof. It is one storey high with an attic. Windows are wooden casements with bars. The central wing features a projecting central bay with a gabled first floor that juts out over a porch. A dormer window is located to the left of the centre, alongside hayloft dormers on either side. The left-hand wing has three gabled bays above carriage entries. The right-hand wing includes three dormer windows. Both side wings have lower blocks with carriage doors.
