Description
The Wolfe Obelisk, located north of Stowe House, is a tall structure made of ashlar stone, likely created around 1760. It is believed to have originated from Vanbrugh's "guglio," which was designed in 1722 and situated at the center of the Octagon Lake to the south of the house. The obelisk is not owned by Stowe School.
