Description

The equestrian statue of George I is located to the north of The Mansion at Stowe School. This Grade I listed statue, created in 1723 by John Van Nost, is made of lead and stands on a tall stone pedestal. The pedestal features a cornice, semi-circular ends, a plinth, and two steps.
