Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It is timber framed with 18th century brick infill and a refronting, standing on a rubble stone plinth. The roof is old and tiled, slightly gambrel in shape, with end chimney stacks and three modern gabled dormers. The building has a projecting header eaves cornice and is two storeys high with an attic. It features four bays of three-light small panel casements, with the ground floor windows having segmental arched heads. There is a modern six-panel door and a blocked doorway to the right. To the left, there is a modern one-storey wing. The right gable facing the road has a small attic window, while the rear elevation shows exposed timber framing and two small casements.
