Description

Field View is a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century. They feature a timber frame with colour-washed brick infill on No. 15 and the ground floor of No. 14, with brick above. The cottages have a half-hipped thatch roof that sweeps down to the right over a weatherboarded extension. Each cottage has a central stack and two bays, with 19th-century wooden casements. No. 15 has one-and-a-half storeys, with one leaded casement in thatch to the right and a board door to the left; the colour-washed rubble stone of the chimney stack is visible in the center of the front wall. No. 14 has two storeys, featuring horizontal sliding sashes on the first floor and a board door to the right.
