Description
26 and 27 Main Street are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century. No. 27 features a timber frame with colour-washed brick infill, while No. 26 is constructed from colour-washed rubble stone. Both cottages have a thatched roof, which is half hipped to the left and hipped to the right, with brick stacks located to the left and centre.
The entrance to No. 27 includes a central 20th-century door, flanked by paired casement windows, and another window set into the thatch. No. 26 has a lobby entry to the left with a boarded door and two bays of paired barred casements to the right.
