Description

This cottage dates from the 17th to 18th centuries. It is constructed of colour-washed rubble stone, brick, and roughcast, with timber framing visible to the south gable. The roof is thatched, with brick end stacks. The cottage is one-and-a-half storeys high, with the upper floor within the thatched roof. It has two bays, featuring paired barred casement windows, one single casement to the right of centre, and a door to the left of centre. Single-storey lean-to extensions extend from both ends of the cottage; one is built of brick to the left, and the other is weatherboarded to the right. The group value of this building lies in its contribution to the character of the area.
