Description

Close Cottage, located on Church Lane in Great Missenden, is a 17th-century building that was refronted in 18th-century brick. It features a first-floor band and has four horizontal sliding sash windows on each floor, along with two doors; the ground floor openings have segmental arches. The cottage has an old tile roof and a central brick stack. To the left, there is an addition that includes a sash window on the ground floor and a modern casement window on the first floor. The gable wall is constructed of flint.
