Description

No. 40 on Church Street is a building from the 17th century with a front made of early 19th-century brick. It features an old tiled roof and stands two storeys tall. The ground floor has a sash window on the left with a segmental arch above it. To the right, there are two segmental bow windows with a blocked doorway between them, and a six-panel door on the left. All of these elements are topped with a continuous frieze and cornice. On the first floor, there are two horizontal sliding casements and a central brick recess. Inside, timber-framing and original beams are visible.
