Description
Hockley Farmhouse is a 17th-century timber-framed house with two bays and two storeys, plus an additional bay on the left side. It features an old tiled roof and has a framed rear wing that creates an L-shaped plan, with a modern two-storey infill at the angle. Some timbers are exposed on the ground floor, which has brick infill, while the rest of the building is primarily brick. The first floor has rendered infill. The windows are modern casements, with three lights on the first floor and in the left-hand bay on the ground floor, and four lights in the right-hand bays flanking a two-light window that replaces a former central door. There is a stack on the left side and a 17th-century stack with over sailing courses at the end of the framed rear range.
