Description

This is a 16th-century timber-framed house, originally consisting of two bays and one and a half storeys. A more modern bay has been added to the left. The ground floor is brick-faced, whilst the upper floor retains exposed timber framing, filled in with brick and colourwashed. The roof is covered with old tiles. Modern casement windows have been installed, and the first floor windows are gabled. A 17th-century chimney stack is located at the rear of the property. A hipped-roof extension, dating to around 1980, has been added to the left side, featuring two dormers at the rear. The original right-hand bay was formerly open to the roof, displaying smoke-blackened roof timbers and curved purlin braces.

Inside, the house features chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, and tension braces between posts and bressummers.
