Description
Swan Cottage is a house that likely dates back to the 17th century, with some parts rebuilt in the 19th century. The rear and upper parts of the gables are timber framed, while the front has been rebuilt in brick, which is whitewashed and partially rendered, leaving the wall plate exposed. The cottage has a thatched roof and a brick chimney situated between the right bays. It is 1½ storeys tall and consists of three bays. The windows are 19th to 20th century wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars, featuring three lights in the thatch and in the ground floor right, and two lights in the ground floor left bays. There is a 20th-century door located between the right bays and a boarded door in the left bay. A 20th-century lean-to conservatory is positioned in front of the left bay, along with small 20th-century extensions at the rear.
