This is a 19th-century milepost located approximately 30 metres south of Chenies Village on the old Hatfield to Reading Turnpike Road. It is made of painted cast iron and features a triangular base that is chamfered to a gable top. The top is inscribed with 'Hatfield 20' in raised Clarendon style lettering and numerals.
