Description

Acorn Cottage is a small house dating from the 17th century. The front features whitewashed render with a projecting rendered plinth and an exposed wall plate, while the right gable is made of brick. The rear is constructed with a timber frame and whitewashed plaster infill. The cottage has a thatched roof with a central brick chimney stack. It stands at one and a half storeys and consists of two bays. The windows are three-light barred wooden casements, with those on the ground floor set in canted oriels and first-floor windows positioned under thatch eyebrows. The entrance is a central ledged door. There is a 20th-century extension at the rear.
