Description

No. 31 Sheep Street is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the 18th century. The right gable features a timber frame with brick infill, including some herringbone patterns, and the frame is also visible at the rear. The front of the house is made of patterned red and vitreous brick, with red dressings and render below the ground floor cill level. It has a thatched roof and brick stacks at the ends. The building stands two storeys high with an attic and has three small bays. The left-hand bays contain three-light wooden casements, while the right-hand bay features a door and a two-light leaded casement to the right. All ground floor openings have segmental heads.
