Workshop (Furniture Factory) Adjoining No 37 High Street On North And Occupied By Emf Brown

This building is a workshop, specifically a furniture factory, located next to No 37 High Street on the north side and occupied by E M F Brown. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The ground floor is made of red brick, while the first and second floors are painted weatherboard. The roof is covered with old tiles.

On the ground floor, there are four two-light casement windows with wooden mullions and cambered relieving arches, along with one window that is partly boarded. The upper floors feature two single-light, two double-light, and two four-light wooden mullioned casements. The ground and first floors have plain doors, with the first floor accessed by an external wooden staircase.

This workshop is historically significant as one of the few surviving furniture workshops from this period in the area.
