Description
Number 37 High Street is a 16th-century building that has been altered over time. The ground floor is made of colour-washed brick, which is of a later date, while the first floor features an oversailing timber frame with plaster covering, leaving only the angle posts exposed. The building has an old tiled roof with a gable facing the street. A 19th-century shop window is present, along with a six-panelled door that is accessed by two stone steps, though two of the panels are now glazed. On the first floor, there is a three-light wooden mullioned casement window. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 35 to 37, The Church Loft, Nos 45 to 54, Nos 56 to 59, Steps House, The Plough Inn, The Apple Orchard, The Old Smithy, West Wycombe Estate Office, Rose Cottage, and Ness Cottage.
