Description
Nos 22 and 23 on High Street are 17th-century buildings that have been altered over time. The ground floor is made of colour washed brick, while the first floor features a timber frame and plaster. The roof is old and tiled, with a gable facing the road. The right side of the building has two storeys and attics, including a gable window. The left side has a single-storey wing with three flush set casement windows, which have wooden mullions and come in two and three lights. There is a canted oriel bay window on the first floor, topped with a gabled hood, and a doorhood with a tiled roof. These buildings are part of a group that includes several other notable structures in the area, such as the Swan Public House and the West Wycombe Branch County Library.
