Description

Nos 80 and 82 High Street is a dentist surgery and residence dating from the mid to late 18th century, likely a remodelling of an earlier building, with alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is built of colourwashed header brick and features a wooden modillion eaves cornice and an old tile roof. The upper part of the right gable is tile-hung. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two bays of small three-pane sash windows on the first floor and a 20th-century shop front below. There is a tile-hung gabled dormer with a barred horizontal sliding sash. Between the first floor windows, there is a blocked panel that includes a County fire insurance plaque. The interior has not been seen. This building is included for its group value.
