Description
The outbuilding located to the north-east of the Old Rectory and Well Cottage dates from the 16th and early 17th centuries, and it was likely used as a laundry and service building. It is part of the east range of the Old Rectory, with Well Cottage being a section of this range. The structure is timber-framed and is clad in red and grey brick, featuring an old tile roof and brick dentilled eaves. It has a flint rubble plinth and is designed in an L shape. The west range is a single storey with an early 17th-century stack at the junction with the two-storey right-angle wing, which may represent a hall and crosswing. The building displays much exposed timber framing.
