Description

Saddler’s Cottage and St Giles’ Cottage are 18th-century buildings with timber-frame construction, likely originating in the 17th century. They are two storeys high, with one section extending into the roof space. The windows are barred sashes, with four panes on the ground floor and three panes on the first floor. Bracketed door hoods are a feature. St Giles’ Cottage has a gabled window in the upper part of the roof and is one bay wide. Saddler’s Cottage is two bays wide and has flat-roofed upper-floor windows that rise through the eaves. The roof is tiled, with St Giles’ Cottage having a slightly higher ridge.
