Description

Hampden Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and extensions in the 18th century and late 19th century. It comprises two sections and is constructed of red brick. The roof is tiled. The right-hand section has three-light casement windows; the ground-floor window has a cambered head. There are dentil eaves to a hipped roof, at a right angle to the main range, which contains a 17th-century timber-framed core. A six-panel door is set within a bracketed hood and architraved door case. The left-hand section has a gable and modern casement windows, topped by a hipped roof. A hipped-roofed garage is located on the left.
