Description

Bockmer Barn is a barn built around 1800. It is constructed of dressed chalk with narrow brick dressings and has a plain tile roof. The barn features five bays and a double row of vent slits. The central entries have jambs and an arch that were rebuilt around 1900. Inside, the barn has an impressive space with a triple purlin roof. The trusses include raking struts and two tiers of queen struts and collars. There are braced tie beams supported by corbel posts, which have pendant finials.
