Description
Hillside Cottages comprises three 18th-century cottages, altered and extended. They adjoin and are set back from number 1 Hillside Cottage. The cottages are built of red brick with an old tile roof and a modillion eaves cornice. The windows are 1, 2, or 3-light casements; most have leaded lights, except those on the first floor of number 3. Number 2 has a 2-light casement window above a boarded door, both sheltered by a small hood. Number 3 has a modern, tiled-roof lean-to on the ground floor, containing two 3-light windows and a door, all under a small hood. The hood extends to cover the door of number 4. The first floor of number 3 has one 2-light and one single-light window. Number 4 has a door and one 2-light window on the ground floor, and one 3-light window on the first floor. A lower, modern extension, partly tile-hung, is located to the right.
