Description
Yew Place, formerly known as the Old Rectory, is a building from the 16th century that was refronted in the 18th century and has since been restored. It features a colour-washed roughcast exterior and an old tile roof. The structure is two storeys high with an attic and includes five restored dormers. The facade is roughly symmetrical, with gabled projections on the left and right sides. On the left, there is a one-storey extension with a hipped roof and a 1:3:1 sash window topped with a pediment. The right side has a kitchen wing with an entrance located behind an old red brick wall.
On the first floor, the gables contain paired sash windows with pediments, along with four additional sash windows. The ground floor features a modern door in the left gable and a 1:3:1 sash window with a pediment in the right gable. The central section has a modern door flanked by two sash windows. Inside, the building showcases 16th and 18th-century panelling, as well as a close string newel staircase with modern balusters.
