Description
No. 3 Manor Street is a cottage that may date back to the 17th century but was altered in the early 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure that is rendered with incised masonry patterns, topped with a plain-tile roof and a brick stack on the right side. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, displaying a two-window range.
The entrance, located to the left, has a 4-panel part-glazed door that is approached by two stone steps, which are framed by a moulded wood surround and a narrow straight hood. To the right of the ground floor, there is a 12-pane window, while the first floor features a pair of 12-pane sash windows. Additionally, there is a cellar or basement window to the right of the front door steps, which has a wooden lintel. The cottage also includes a gabled roof dormer window.
