Description
No. 12 Church Street is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century and older origins. The front is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring a double-slope roof with plain tiles on the lower slope and Welsh slates on the upper slope, along with a brick end stack on the left side. The house has a 2-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range.
To the left of the center, there is a four-panel door with a flat-arched head and a straight hood supported by curved brackets. A shallow canted bay window is positioned to the left of the door, adorned with a moulded cornice and a flat lead roof. On the ground floor to the right of the door, there is a 12-pane sash window with a flat-arched head. The first floor features similar sash windows, each with wooden lintels. The building has a rendered plinth and dentilled brick eaves. The interior is noted for having spine beams.
