Description

A pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century, situated in Haddenham. The cottages are constructed of wethered timber, with colourwashing and roughcast render to the front elevation, and gable elevation to number 4 in colourwashed render. They have thatched roofs. Each cottage is one storey high with an attic, and has two bays with a central boarded door. Number 2 has two-light casement windows, and a part-leaded eaves dormer. Number 4 has a two-light casement window on the right, and a horizontal sliding sash window on the left. Gable and party stacks are present. The buildings are documented in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments, Great Britain, volume I, page 183, and are also mentioned in Monuments.
