Description

Number 15 is an 18th-century house that has been altered. The front facing High Street is made of rubblestone with brick dressings, while the other sides are also rubblestone with brick details. The gables are constructed from brick, and the house features old tile roofs. It has three bays and two storeys, with a 1½ storey rear wing. The central door is now blocked and replaced with a small window. The windows are mullioned and transomed 2-light casements. There is a plinth and a band course between the storeys, and a blank recess is located above the door. The openings are cambered arched, and the eaves have a dentil design. A Sun Assurance fire plaque No.507018 is displayed over the blocked doorway. The house has a central stack, and the gable elevations feature dentil verges. To the left, there is a single-storey addition with a hipped roof. Surrounding the house are witchert garden walls that run north and south, with rubblestone lower parts and witchert upper sections, topped with pantile and cement ridge copings.
