Description
A row of three cottages and a shop facing High Street, with a rear wing that is now two cottages, likely dating from the mid- to late 18th century and altered subsequently. The front range is built of coursed rubble stone and has a tiled roof with a large brick chimney between the left bays, plus a smaller brick chimney in the centre. The rear wing has eaves raised with 19th-century red brick, a slate roof, and two brick chimneys.
The front range is of 1½ storeys and four bays. The left bays each have paired, barred wooden casements, with first-floor windows in flat-roofed semi-dormers, and a door to the left. The third bay has a 20th-century sash window, a paired, barred wooden casement in a gabled semi-dormer, and a door to the right. The right bay features a 20th-century shop front. The rear wing is of two storeys and three bays, with irregular 20th-century wooden casements and two 20th-century doors.
