Description
Chestnut Corner is a house that features late 18th century to early 19th century alterations to an older building. The front is made of red brick, incorporating some vitreous headers and a projecting plinth. The flight gable is constructed of coursed rubble stone, with a timber frame and brick infill above. The roof is thatched and half-hipped to the left, with flanking brick chimneys. The house has two storeys and two bays, with three-light leaded casements; the ground floor windows have cambered heads and a line of blue header bricks above them. There is a central door located in a 20th century gabled brick porch. To the left, there is a weathered-boarded outbuilding with a tiled roof. The rear of the house features lower eaves and a lean-to.
