Description
The Old Cottage is a house from the 17th century, constructed with a timber frame and whitewashed brick infill. The left-hand bay is weatherboarded, while the left gable features whitewashed rubblestone infill. The roof is thatched and hipped to the left, with a thin brick chimney stack located between the left-hand bays and a smaller brick stack on the right gable. The cottage has one and a half storeys and consists of three bays, with the left bay being wider and slightly lower than the others. It features leaded casements, with the ground floor showcasing two single lights in the left-hand bay, a canted bay window in the center, and a paired casement on the right. The right-hand bays have three-light casements beneath the thatch. There is a lobby entry with a boarded door situated in a large open gabled porch.
