Description

Bridge Number 132 spans the Grand Union Canal in Marsworth and dates from around 1800, with alterations made in 1838. It is constructed of brown brick in English bond, with patches of red and yellow brick. The parapet has been partly rebuilt in yellow brick and features a band course along with rendered and stone coping. The bridge has square brick end piers and a wide central pilaster. It includes two depressed arches of different bonding, with the eastern arch designed to cross a narrow duplicate lock that has since been filled in.
