Description

The Thatches is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with a 20th-century addition on the west side. It features a timber frame with brick infill, which is now colourwashed and rendered, while the west bay is made of colourwashed brick. The cottage has three bays and two storeys, with the right part thatched and the left bay tiled. There is a boarded door to the left of the central bay, which has a hood above it. The windows are two-light casements, and there are flanking stacks made of old thin brick on the thatched bay. The left bay includes three-light steel casements, with the upper one being a swept dormer and a gable stack.
