Description

Coldharbour Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century, which incorporates some fabric from the 17th century. It is constructed of stone and brick, with the front rendered and painted. The right-hand rear gable features alternating bands of stone and brick, while the left-hand gable is made of stone. The roof is covered with old tiles and has end chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has a double pile plan, with the rear block partly dating from the 17th century.

The front elevation has three bays of four-pane wide sash windows. There is a central six-panel door, with two upper panels glazed, framed by a flat moulded architrave and a flat hood. This door is flanked by canted wood bay windows. There is a tiled lean-to addition on the right-hand side. The gable of the rear block has a blocked opening under a semicircular brick arch with a keyblock, and there is a sash window to the left-hand side on the first floor. The left-hand gable has a blocked window on the first floor behind a projecting chimney stack. The rear elevation features a modern slate-roofed lean-to, along with a one-light casement and a sash window on the first floor. There is also a one-storey wing made of painted brick with a stone end wall and a half-hipped old tile roof.

Inside, the kitchen has an ovolo moulded spine beam and an exposed post, which is probably from the 17th century.
