Description
Nos. 18 and 19 Elm Street are a pair of terrace houses built in the early 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed from red brick in Flemish bond and feature a slate roof along with brick end and ridge stacks. The houses have a double-depth plan and are three stories high with a two-window range.
Each house has six-panel doors located to the right and left of the center, both with flat-arched heads. The door to No. 18 has been replaced by a 20th-century plank door. Most original sash windows on all floors have been replaced with 20th-century windows, except for a 12-pane sash window on the first floor left and a 9-pane sash window on the second floor left. The ground and first-floor windows have flat-arched heads, while the second-floor windows feature wooden lintels. There is a rendered plinth. The interiors have not been inspected.
