Description

No. 8 Well Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features pebbledashed render, likely over brick, a slate roof, and a brick stack on the right side. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three stories tall with one window range. The entrance is a six-panel, part-glazed door located to the left, accessed by one stone step and framed by a pegged wood surround with a straight hood above. To the right on the ground floor is a 12-pane sash window, while the first floor has a 20th-century window that replaced a sash. The second floor features a 9-pane sash window. The house also has a rendered plinth and a band at the first-floor level.
