Description

Primrose Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is built with a rough whitewashed render over a cob structure, and has a thatched roof. There are brick chimneys to the left and centre of the building. The house is 1½ storeys high, with three main bays and a half bay between the left bays. It features paired leaded casement windows, with those on the upper floor set within the thatch eyebrows. A single leaded light window is on the ground floor of the half bay, accompanied by a small two-light wooden casement just below the eaves. A board door is located on the ground floor. A 20th-century barred and glazed door sits between the right bays. Plaster motifs depicting a Tudor rose and grotesque heads are positioned at the corners and above the board door. A 20th-century conservatory has been added to the right, and a lean-to extension to the rear.
