Description
The Swan Inn is a public house dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with some alterations. It features a colourwashed roughcast exterior and a thatched roof, with a brick chimney on the right and a roughcast chimney on the left. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays. It has barred wooden casements, including a 5-light canted bay window on the left, a 3-light casement on the ground floor to the right, and three 2-light casements in the thatch. The central door, which is from the 20th century, has a flat wooden hood supported by brackets. The lower bay on the left is made of colourwashed rubble stone and has a brick lean-to in front. There is also a single-storey 20th-century extension set back to the right, constructed of colourwashed brick with a slate roof.
