Description

This is a pair of cottages dated 1855, situated on Church Walk in Burnham. They are constructed of brick, with a cement rendering and colourwashed finish, and have a hand-made tile roof. Date plaques are visible on small shields: "18" on number 18 and "55" on number 16. The design is in the shape of a "T". A projecting central portion features two gables, a central downpipe with a hopper decorated with battlements. The ground floor has two fixed windows with two lights each. The first floor has two casement windows, each with two lights. The eastern and western arms each have a door sheltered by a gabled hood covered in tiles and supported by wooden brackets. Above each door, on the first floor, is a casement window with two lights. At the end of each arm is a bay window with three lights.
