Description
Abovemead Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of chequer brick and features a moulded brick plinth and eaves. The roof is covered with old tiles and is half-hipped on the right side. There are brick chimneys located on the left gable and between the right-hand bays. The building has two storeys and an attic, with four bays, the right bay being widely spaced. The three left-hand bays contain sash windows, with the ground floor windows having segmental heads. The right bay features a paired barred wooden casement with a similar head on the ground floor and a blocked window above. There are two gabled dormers with paired barred wooden casements. A half-glazed door in the second bay is sheltered by a gabled weatherboarded porch. At the rear, there is a parallel range that dates from the early 19th century.
