Description
No. 1 Smithfield End is a small house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations. The ground floor is constructed of early 20th-century brick, while the upper section features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill. The house has a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the left side and includes a central brick chimney. It has one and a half storeys and two bays. The windows are three-light barred wooden casements, with those on the first floor set into the thatch. There is a flush panel door located to the right. Additionally, there are small lean-to extensions on the left gable and at the rear.
