Description

This is a pair of small houses dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The houses have a timber frame with curved braces and brick infill to the rear. The front of the houses has been refaced in brick, using red and vitreous brick in the left bay, and red and white brick for the rest. The roofs are thatched and there are three brick chimneys: one dating from the 18th century on the left, a partially 17th-century chimney in the centre, and a 19th-century chimney on the right. The houses are two storeys high, with four bays. The upper left bay has a three-light leaded casement set partly into the thatch. Other windows are two or three-light wooden casements, with segmental or cambered heads on the ground floor and timber lintels on the first floor. A flush panelled door is located between the left bays, and a board door is to the right of the centre.
