Description

Rose Bank is a pair of cottages dated 1713, with a later 18th-century addition. They are located on Oving Road in Whitchurch. The cottages are constructed of coursed rubble stone, with a plinth on the left-hand bay. The right gable was rebuilt in the 19th century using red brick. The roof is tiled, with two intermediate chimneys built of 19th-century brick.

The cottages are one storey and attic, with three bays. The left-hand bay has a barred wooden window with small panes, and a small two-light window with a chamfered stone surround positioned below the eaves to the right. The right bays have paired wooden casements within 19th-century gabled dormers, a single wooden casement to the ground floor centre, and a four-light barred wooden casement to the right. Boarded doors are set into the gable ends. A 19th-century extension to the rear of the right-hand bay is also present.
