Description
Pond Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th to 18th century. It is an L-plan house constructed of rubble stone, with an extension to the east in chequer brick from the mid to late 18th century, and a brick extension to the north from the late 18th century and 19th century. The farmhouse has tiled roofs and brick chimneys flanking the stone section. It is two storeys high with an attic. The northern front of the stone section features three bays, with 19th and 20th century paired barred wooden casements, and a three-light window on the ground floor to the right. The central upper window is blocked. To the left, there is a later bay that is obscured by a single-storey extension at right angles, which also has similar three-light casements. The rear of the building has similar casements and a four-panel door located in the angle, topped with a flat wooden hood supported by minimal brackets.
