Description
Blackmoorhill Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1770, which has been partly rebuilt. It was originally a farmhouse for the Verney estate. The front, which faces Claydon House, is constructed of dressed stone featuring a plinth and stone voussoirs above all openings. The eaves cornice is missing. The remainder of the building is made of brick with dentilled eaves, topped by a tiled roof and flanked by brick chimneys. The house has two storeys and three bays. The windows are 20th-century wooden casements, with three-light windows flanking a two-light window. The central entrance features a 20th-century six-panel door with a barred rectangular fanlight above it. There is also a one-storey and attic extension at the rear.
