Description

Manor Farmhouse is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations from the 19th century. It has an L-shaped layout. The original main block is constructed of brick with irregular plum-coloured panels and red dressings, featuring a plinth and a first-floor band course, the front of which is rendered. It has a stone base and an old tile roof with a stack to the right-hand gable. The house is two storeys and has an attic. Originally five bays, it now has three, with barred wooden casements from the 19th and 20th centuries. The outer bays have square bay windows with hipped tiled roofs and 3-light casements above, while the centre of the first floor has a 2-light casement. There are two gabled dormers with paired casements. The central doorway has a 6-panel door, a barred rectangular fanlight, flanking pilaster strips, and a wooden cornice hood supported by brackets. A lean-to is present on the right-hand side, with a blocked doorway and a paired casement above. A brick near the front door is inscribed with "E.? 1717."
